Come learn about fire safety with Kasey the Fire Dog on Thursday, July 18 at 1:30 p.m. or 3:00 p.m. in the Community Room. The Kasey Program uses a black Labrador Retriever to demonstrate fire safety skills. For example, Kasey demonstrates “Stop, Drop, & Roll,” checks the door to see if it’s hot, crawls under the smoke, as well as many other skills. This 45-minute program is recommended for children from preschool age to 6th grade. After the program, participants will also be able to see a Portland Fire Department truck! (Fire truck will not be available if there is a local emergency.) Registration is required for this program, so call or visit the library soon!
